Wheels are spinning as brains frantically try to organize the raw emotional data collected over the last couple of weeks into some larger understanding of the big picture.
We’ve been immersed in thought and communication around deeply intense Scorpionic themes – death, passion, transformation, money, jealousy, loyalty, secrecy, intimacy – since Mercury moved into the sign on October 17, 2017. Now the planet associated with acquiring and making sense of information has moved into the What does it mean? What do I believe? and Where do I go from here? sign Sagittarius, where it will stay until January 2018*. It can be exhausting running the information through your head over and over again, and these aren’t the kind of questions that can be answered by picking apart the data.
As one planet leaves, another enters. What recently occupied our thoughts and words has now taken up residence in our hearts. Venus has slid into Scorpio and it marks a change in how we relate to others, what we value as important and how we love. She also carries with her our experience of Friday’s full moon**, whether we found grounded comfort and relationship breakthroughs or immovable resistance and relationship breakdowns.
Venus will continue its course through Scorpio until December 1, 2017. Relationships will be more intense, passionate, obsessive but also have a great potential to heal and show us a truer version of ourselves. This is a precursor to the next and final handoff – Mars will enter on December 9, 2017 and what started in our minds then moved to our hearts will become how we choose to act. Mars is at home in Scorpio and will be there until January 26, 2018. There are always less desirable expressions but if we capitalize on its deepest potential this placement has the energy, drive and courage to dive into the dark unseen waters and pull up hidden treasure.
* Mercury ingress to Sagittarius on November 5, 2017, stations retrograde at 29 degrees Sagittarius on December 2, 2017, stations direct at 13 degrees Sagittarius on December 22, 2017 and finally moves into Capricorn on January 11, 2018.
